The Ad-192 applies a blanket of argon to the top of racked storage tubes prior to capping or sealing, protecting samples from the detrimental actions of humidity and oxygen.
Two needle assemblies, each consisting of 96 individual stainless steel needles, evenly distribute argon gas into the top of the tube racks.
For user protection, excess argon is captured by a vacuum source connected to the bottom of the dispenser.
Suitable for use with 1.4ml and 0.5ml storage tubes (with spacer). Tubes are easily raised and locked at the desired height using a manual elevator.
The amount of time for dispensing argon is preset by the user, the argon is then dispensed automatically by the Ad-192 once the tubes are raised and locked in place.
The vacuum is also activated automatically and continues even when the argon has been discontinued. The user is able to pre-programme the amount of time the vacuum is required.

The Xev-96 and Xev-192 have two needle assemblies, each consists of either 96 (Xev-96) or 192 (Xev-192) individual stainless steel needles that evenly distribute heated gas into the microplates from both the top and bottom. The lower platform can be adjusted to any height from the upper needle assembly. This allows the needles to come in close proximity to the sample, without actually touching. This feature minimises drying time and enables the user to develop methods which use a variety of plate sizes and sample volumes.
