VERSA Mini Nucleic Acid Prep

The VERSA Mini NAP/PCR Setup is a small, automated liquid handling workstation designed to perform virtually every task for nucleic acid preparation with high precision, throughput and accuracy.
With built-in shaker, temperature control, and optional magnetic block and vacuum manifold, the VERSA Mini NAP/PCR Setup can isolate nucleic acids and prepare nucleic acid samples for PCR. This nucleic acid preparation workstation can conserve expensive reagents, eliminate concerns associated with volumetric variations caused by handling errors, as well as handle repetitive pipetting protocols.

The VERSA nucleic acid preparation workstation and software have been specifically designed to easily automate commercially-available extraction kits (magnetic bead and vacuum manifold techniques) and industry recognized protocols. Moreover, it provides customization solutions for researchers interested in creating their own nucleic acid preparation protocols.

VERSA Gene

The VERSA™ GENE workstation is an automated liquid handling workstation designed to perform nucleic acid purification and PCR setup for end point or real time PCR with high precision, throughput and accuracy. This system is capable of complete work-up of RNA or DNA samples from extraction through to preparation of the PCR plate for amplification.

The unique multi-channel head consists of a switchable 8 channel and single channel pipetting head with a 5-channel reagent addition module for fast, accurate, and precise pipetting of reagents, mastermix preparation, dilution series creation and sample addition. Combined with a range of built in modules, the VERSA™ GENE workstation can generate highly purified nucleic acid samples and PCR set up.

This high-throughput workstation increases sample numbers while decreasing sample volumes, conserves expensive reagents, eliminates concerns associated with volumetric variations caused by handling errors, and automates all repetitive pipetting protocols.

The VERSA™ GENE is ideal for nucleic acid preparation and is applicable to a wide range of research areas such as: disease control (avian flu, SARS, HIV), forensics (DNA fingerprinting), molecular pathology (cancer, genetic susceptibility), environment/food (GMOs and pathogen identification) and other molecular biology applications.

While this system is dedicated for extraction and isolation of nucleic acids, the underlying versatility of the workstation allows it to perform many generic liquid handling tasks such as: serial dilution, cherry picking, plate reformatting and plate replication.

VERSA Mini Solid Phase Extraction Workstation

Isolating compounds from complex biological and combinatorial chemistry matrices has necessitated the automation of solid phase extraction (SPE). Standard methods are time consuming, prone to manual pipetting errors, and expensive reagents are often wasted unnecessarily. The primary purposes of automation are to minimize sample preparation time, to reduce the cumbersome nature of solid phase extraction, and to produce cost effective solutions while increasing the throughput and reproducibility of the process.

The VERSA solid phase extraction workstation is equipped with a positive pressure/vacuum system and a heating block/shaker (optional) that provides efficient solid phase extraction in 1, 3, and 6 mL SPE cartridges, and 96 well microplates. The workstation is designed to maximize sample preparation and cleanup steps prior to sample analysis for genomics, proteomics, LC/MS/MS, and GC/MS applications. The VERSA SPE specializes in automating low volume solid phase bio-extractions, and provides utility in a variety of laboratories, including pharmaceutical, clinical diagnostic, forensic, tobacco, food and beverage.

VERSA Mini Liquid-Liquid Extraction Workstation

The VERSA Mini Liquid-Liquid Extraction workstation is a small, automated liquid handling workstation designed to perform liquid-liquid extraction, from sample addition to organic phase removal, with high precision, throughput and accuracy.

With a built-in temperature-controlled reservoir for solvents and a shaking block for sample mixing, the VERSA Liquid-Liquid Extraction can automate procedures to partition samples for downstream applications. This workstation can conserve expensive reagents, eliminate concerns associated with volumetric variations caused by handling errors, as well as handle all repetitive pipetting protocols.

The VERSA Mini Liquid-Liquid Extraction workstation and software have been specifically designed to perform most common liquid- liquid extraction protocols. In addition, this system offers the flexibility and ease of use to allow researchers to customize their own extraction applications.

While the system and software have been designed for applications revolving around liquid-liquid extraction (partition chromatagraphy) the unit is capable of performing many generic liquid handling tasks; such as: serial dilution, cherry picking, plate reformatting and plate replication.

VERSA Mini Vial Filling Workstation

Manually filling vials with reagents is a tedious, time consuming and error prone process making it difficult to effectively meet the high throughput needs requested by most reagent companies using common manual filling techniques. In addition to these problems, a vial filling workstation must offer an acceptable confidence value (CV) to meet or exceed tight regulatory standard, and satisfy growing statistical process control expectations regarding the delivered reagents. Automated vial filling machines must be capable of supporting a growing span of liquid products and fill sizes such as multiwell microplates, micro tubes, vials and reagent bottles. Aurora Biomed has developed a Vial Filling Workstation to meet these requirements for dispensing reagents or free flowing to low viscosity liquids into different types of containers in volumes ranging from the size of submicroliter to milliliter.
