The newest 96-well format generation of FluidX tubes are catagorized as Tri-coded, Dual-coded and 2D coded tubes. The types of tubes offer internal and/or external screwcap options with different working volume sizes. Depending on your working volume, you can select one of these configurations.

 

FluidX External & Internal Thread Next Generation Jacket Tri-Coded Tubes

Jacket Tri-Coded tubes are co-molded tubes that provide a 2D code on the base of the tube and a 1D linear barcode + human readable code on the side of the tube.

Capping options: Screw cap, Septum cap.

  • TwistLock

    Prevents tubes rotating within the rack to enable automated capping and de-capping of screwcaps. TwistLock is provided as standard with the option available to remove.

    LidLock

    Racks fitted with a LidLock latch are designed to withstand a 1m drop for added sample security.

    TubeLock

    Tubes can be locked into the rack to prevent falling out, even when there is no lid present. Tubes can be placed in either locked or unlocked positions. TubeLock is activated by applying pressure to the tube top, clicking the tube into place. Racked tubes can be ordered either pre-locked or non-locked.


    Direct Laser Etching of Racks

    Cutout windows on the rack sides allow the linear barcode to be read more easily. Linear barcodes can be laser etched directly onto the rack.

    Ideal For Cold Storage

    Temperature range -196°C (with screw cap) to 110°C. Suitable for cryogenic storage, but not for submersion in liquid phase Nitrogen. Can be autoclaved.

    Dual-Coded, Non-coded, Alpha-Numeric or 2D Datamatrix Code Quality


    Our 2D barcoded tubes are now easier to read, even in harsh conditions or when damaged. FluidX offer one of the few ranges that adheres fully to the ECC200 standard. Barcode is generated using latest and most sophisticated error correction methods. New generation, high quality, permanent laser etching system provides sharper detail. 100% QC. Every tube is checked to ensure they meet our exacting standards for readability.

    Excellent Sealing Ability

    Tubes work equally well with either TPE septum caps or screw caps. Improved internal thread provides a more secure seal when using screw caps.

    Automatic Rack Orientation

    FluidX racks can be supplied with a unique 2D barcode identifier. This can be read at the same time as the tube 2D barcode when using a FluidX whole rack reader to provide automatic rack orientation and more secure sample tracking.

    Automation Friendly

    Compatible with the IntelliXcap 96 range of tube capper/decappers to automatically remove and recap screw caps from racked tubes. TwistLock feature prevents tubes rotating within the rack during capping or decapping.

    All FluidX tubes are free from DNase, RNase, DNA and endotoxins. Sterilisation is achieved by irradiation conducted in accordance with EN552, ISO11137 and SI/AAMI/ST31/ST32 standards.
