Protein Gel Electrophoresis

AzureRed Fluorescent Protein Stain

Choose AzureRed Fluorescent Protein Stain for sensitive detection of total protein on 1D or 2D gels. AzureRed is as sensitive as silver stain and is compatible with downstream Western blotting, mass spectometry, and Edman sequencing. Because the free dye is non-fluorescent, AzureRed provides very low background and higher signal to noise than other fluorescent stains. AzureRed stained gels can be imaged with UV or blue light excitation.

Azure Ponceau Stain

Choose Azure Ponceau to detect total protein transferred to membranes. This stain is reversible and can be used to check the efficiency of protein transfer before immunodetection. Get results in 10 minutes.

Azure Transfer Buffer

Azure transfer buffer increases the protein retention on the membrane and accelerates the transfer time, resulting in more sensitive detection of low-abundance and post-translationally modified proteins. The transfer time is less than 20 minutes vs. several hours required with traditional transfer buffers and the buffer is compatible with your existing wet transfer electrophoresis instruments.

Azure Blocking & Washing Buffers 

Azure Fluorescent Blot Blocking Buffer – Azure Fluorescent Blot Blocking Buffer is a protein-free blocking solution, optimized for use with fluorescent Western blots, and also an excellent blocking reagent for chemiluminescent Western blots. Azure Fluorescent Blot Blocking Buffer can reduce background when used with primary antibodies that have a high degree of cross-reactivity with protein blockers such as BSA, casein or milk protein. With low-quality primary antibodies that may require protein-based blocking agents, BSA or non-fat dry milk can be dissolved directly in the Azure Fluorescent Blot Blocking Buffer used to dilute the antibody. Provided as a 5X concentrate.

Azure Fluorescent Blot Washing Buffer – Azure Fluorescent Blot Washing Buffer can be used with any Western blotting system, including all chemiluminescent HRP substrates and fluorescent Western blotting kits. Provided as a 10X concentrate.

Azure IR Fluorescent Blot Washing Buffer – Azure IR fluorescent blot washing buffer has been designed for IR Western blots, and helps further reduce background. Provided as a 10X concentrate.
