The SageELF is an electrophoresis system that separates DNA or protein samples by size, and then fractionates the whole sample, or section of sample, into 12 fractions. The system is equipped with pulsed-field electrophoresis for resolving large DNA.
Fractionation ranges are estimated and adjusted in software, and fractions are collected in buffer. One sample is fractionated on a single precast agarose cassette, and one or two cassettes may be processed at one time.
The fully automated SageELF (for Electrophoretic Lateral Fractionator) can be used to select DNA or proteins. It features a cassette system designed to fractionate a whole protein or DNA sample simultaneously into 12 contiguous size fractions.
Gel cassettes for DNA fractionation are available in three agarose concentrations to provide a full range of options between 50 bp and hundreds of kb. For some applications, internal standards may be used for higher accuracy and reproducibility.
Gel cassettes for protein fractionation are available in two agarose concentrations to provide a full range of options for proteomic studies.
